Community Classes

Creativity meets community.

Our Community Classes provide free, trauma-informed art opportunities for children, teens, and adults who have experienced hardship. These classes aren’t just about learning a craft — they’re about building a safe space where participants can heal, grow, and connect with others who understand their journey.

What We Offer

From painting and pottery to sewing, jewelry-making, and textile arts, each session is designed to spark creativity while nurturing resilience. Classes are led by Irockmyscars instructors and community volunteers who create an atmosphere of encouragement and support.

Why It Matters

Art has the power to unlock emotions that words cannot. By engaging in hands-on creative expression, participants:

  • Discover new ways to cope with trauma and stress
  • Build confidence and self-esteem
  • Connect with peers who share similar experiences
  • Celebrate their strengths and voices through creativity

A Space for Belonging

Every brushstroke, every thread, every finished piece represents healing, courage, and transformation. For many participants, Community Classes are the first step toward rediscovering joy and reclaiming their stories.

Community Classes are about more than making art — they are about making meaning, forming connections, and transforming scars into something beautiful.
